How I Manage To Stay Positive During Negative Moments

Difficult Times Lead To Successful goals

Stressful situations can take a toll on us especially if we don’t normally deal with stress. I personally enjoy stressful situations because it creates a challenge for me to solve an issue.

When emotions build up our thought process can become sabotaged, because all we’re looking for is a way out. At times, I would find myself so frustrated that I would start to cry because I didn’t know what to do. I’m here to tell you that’s okay.

The moment you let out all your frustration, the clearer your mind starts to get, then you calm down and your ready to conquer.

That’s when the storm has passed and the rainbow is here again. To be strong enough to keep running the race even when it seems like the finish line is too far. Make mistakes and accept them.

Nothing can stop you.

faith and goals

I do believe in God I just don’t really believe in religion because I feel as if mankind created it in a way to control the people in their favor but that’s a story for another day.

Days that I feel defeated and just want to give up, I’ve come to learn and accept that I need to keep my faith. I came across this video on facebook one day and this woman was speaking about trusting your vision. Just check it out for a moment. Vera Jones-Trust Your Vison

“Stop Hanging out with Worry and Doubt and make Faith your new bestfriend”- Vera Jones

When I heard that phrase it really hit me that a lot of our time we spend worrying and doubting our abilities or what’s suppose to come next instead of having faith in what’s already here.

Having faith in ourselves and in our goals is the only way we’re going to be able to achieve anything we set our minds to.

The world is filled with so much doubt and fear, people continue to pass up opportunities to stay in a comfort zone. Do you really want to stay somewhere that comfortable forever or would you rather experience exponential growth?

As she continues in the video she states a quote from Helen Keller:

The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision. – Helen Keller

If you are blind to your vision, then how will you know where you plan to go. How do you know your potential? People love success but don’t like the struggles and hardships that come with it. It’s easy to stop working towards a goal, if you lose your vision or if you become distracted.

Pay Attention

Don’t put to much on your plate. Goals should be something carefully planned. By figuring out the top 3 goals we want to achieve, we have a better grasp at actually taking control and making the required changes or improvements that we want. It’s easy to go overboard especially when we have time limit set for ourselves.

Pay attention to what’s in front of you. Don’t look back because that’s behind you and don’t worry about what’s farther. As long as you continue to do what you need to do, you’ll always get where you need to go.

Motivation

When I find myself in difficult situations. I like to find ways to keep me motivated. Whether it’s going on pinterest and finding pins about self- discipline or even just listening to an uplifting song. (My favorite at the moment is “Get Down-James Arthur”) but when I find a topic to motivate me. I feel energized and ready to take on the world again.

Tips

  • Surround yourself with positive people
    • The more people you surround yourself who have the same goals as you, the more likely you’ll learn to handle situations
  • Reading uplifting articles or books
    • My current favorite book to read when I feel like I’m lacking in motivation is “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill.
  • Clean your thoughts up
    • I tend to over think and analyze myself into unnecessary situations. Sometimes I need to sort out my thoughts, you know how sometimes you have to clean your room to find what your looking for? That’s how I do my mind.

Commitment

Motivation isn’t always going to be present. There will be days where many of us have not felt like getting up, going to work, the gym, or to the store but we stuck with it. Why? Because we’ve learned to commit to the things we don’t want in life but if we want to see improvement we must.

If you are committed to a plan and you want to see that plan fall through. No matter how tired you get, or what you may be dealing with right now. You’re going to make it happen by any means necessary. This is not the time for excuses, this is the time for growth.

When you’re upset trying to figure out “why” just remember “why” your doing what your doing in the first place.

At the end of the day nobody can make you do anything except you.

But these are some of the steps that I take to improving my mood after a long stressful day. I just remember that it’s just a bad day not a bad life. Some days will be better than other and some days I want to go hide under a rock but at the end of the day we all have to get back up and keep moving forward.

I hope you guys found this post helpful! Leave a comment and tell me what helps you recover from a rough day.
